Lunch box suckies was a concept already launched in New Zealand for The Collective and it was decided it was time to bring the proposition to the UK market.

The Brief: Develop the new UK Suckies range and find the perfect manufacturing partner to produce and deliver to retail across the UK.

The Approach: After extensive investigation it became clear that there was no viable dairy in the UK that could make the product to the high quality standards we were seeking, so we looked further afield. We found a great partner in France who believed in our brand and were willing to place a bet on us.

Within 9 months, Fiona had developed a range of 5 products, sourced fruit and packaging, ensured legal and food safety compliance, negotiated COGs and set up contractual terms.

The Result - The Collective Suckies range is now a £12m business in the UK

NPD Commercialisation Project - Yoghurts

A client came to us with a bold idea that solved a specific health problem. She had tried many products, which had met the health need, but not one of them delivered on taste or ingredient quality.

The Brief - Deliver a Minimum Viable Product.

The Approach - Our initial proposal included a full benchmarking exercise to understand the competitor products in greater depth, sourcing ingredients, a nutritional desktop study to support claims, creation of formulations and bench concepts, sourcing of co-manufacturers and pulling together COG’s.

The Result - We provided the client with the sufficient information and the confidence to move onto the next stage, building her brand and gain funding for her business.

Helping a challenger brand define its product innovation roadmap.

A challenger brand in the ambient grocery category launched into UK retail in 2022 and is currently seeing high sales growth. They were concerned that they didn’t have any real innovation in their pipeline for 2024 and beyond.

The Brief: Run an innovation workshop to help them devise 10 concepts and prioritise them in line with their business strategy.

The Approach: The Foodie Collaboration planned and facilitated a 1 day workshop using key speakers and insights to generate and capture ideas. We used the afternoon session to funnel these down against a pre-determined set of criteria

The Result: This enabled the team to write a comprehensive product roadmap which not only fulfils the requirement to grow the brand but also allows effective resource planning to meet the demanding timescales.
